Kazakhstan's President Nursultan Nazarbayev and Chairman of Cuba's State Council and the Council of Ministers Raul Castro have discussed the prospects for cooperation in various spheres, Kazakh president's press service said Apr.4.
Nazarbayev is on an official visit to Cuba.
During the discussions, the parties focused on the ways of strengthening the bilateral cooperation by expanding the trade and economic collaboration, contacts in the spheres of education, culture, sports and agriculture.
They paid special attention to cooperation in the spheres of health care, pharmaceuticals and biotechnology and emphasized the necessity of exchanging experience between Kazakh and Cuban specialists in these fields.
The parties also discussed the topical issues on the international agenda.
