In August this year, inflation rate in Kazakhstan amounted to 0.2 percent compared with the previous month, and to 2.9 percent since the beginning of the year, the Committee on Statistics of the Ministry of National Economy of Kazakhstan said in a message posted on its website Sept. 4.
Last month, the prices for food products decreased 0.2 percent, while the prices for non-food products grew 0.6 percent, and the prices for paid services for the population increased 0.2 percent, according to the message.
Since the beginning of the year, as of September 1 this year, the prices for food products increased 2.3 percent, the prices for non-food products grew 3.6 percent, while the prices for paid services for the population increased 3 percent.
