Secretary General of the Cooperation Council of Turkic-Speaking States (Turkic Council) Baghdad Amreyev met with the newly appointed Minister of Foreign Affairs of Kazakhstan Mukhtar Tileuberdi on September 30 in Nur-Sultan, Trend reports with reference to the press office of the Turkic Council.
Secretary General congratulated the minister for his appointment and expressed hope that the cooperation within the framework of Turkic Council will gain new impetus during his office for the benefit of peoples of Turkic Speaking States.
Amreyev informed the minister on the latest developments on relations among Turkic Cooperation countries and expressed gratitude to Tileuberdi for his strong support and valuable contribution of Kazakhstan to the activities of Turkic Council.
Parties discussed the latest developments after the accession of Uzbekistan to the Turkic Council, the recent opening of the European representative office of the Turkic Council in observer country Hungary, strengthening of economic dimension of the activity of Turkic Council as well as the cooperation established with other international organizations.
Amreyev and Tileuberdi had detailed discussions on the ongoing preparations of the forthcoming 7th Summit of the Turkic Council to take place on October 15, 2019 in Baku.
Tileuberdi underlined that the upcoming 7th Summit of Turkic Council will mark a significant event in the history of the organization, showcasing the important role of the Turkic Council as an international organization that upholds the interests of all its member states.
Tileuberdi wished the Secretary General success in his efforts for increasing the cooperation among Turkic Council’s Member States and expressed hope that the upcoming Turkic Council Summit will be another step further for the achievement of the tasks of the Turkic Council.
