Kazakhstan talks industrialization projects implemented in 2020

As many as 201 projects on the industrialization of the national economy were implemented in Kazakhstan during 2020, Kazakhstan’s Prime Minister Askar Mamin said, Trend reports via Kazakh media.

The prime minister made the statement at a joint meeting of the Chambers of the Parliament of Kazakhstan.

The cost of the implemented project was 916 billion tenge (over $2.13 billion), Mamin noted.

"Due to the fulfillment of obligations under the agreements with OPEC+, the volume of oil output in 2020 amounted to 85.7 million tons, while in 2019 - 90.5 million tons. As a result of the restoration of the balance of supply and demand in the global market, oil prices began to gradually recover by late 2020," the PM said.

"The largest number of projects have been implemented in the agro-industrial complex, metallurgy, construction industry, mechanical engineering, chemical industry. This ensured the creation of 19,000 permanent jobs," Mamin said.
