First Deputy Prime Minister of Kazakhstan Alikhan Smailov shared plans to reduce the state's presence in the economy, Trend reports via Kazinform.

"In order to implement presidential instructions to reduce the State's presence in the economy, a comprehensive privatization plan for 2021-2025 is being implemented. Some 50 percent of the objects will be put up for privatization by the end of 2021, 30 percent – in 2022 and 10 percent – in 2023 and 2024," Alikhan Smailov said.

Roadmaps of implementation have been developed for each object of privatization and entered into the State Property Register.

"Privatization through transparent auctions on the electronic platform of the State Property Committee is already underway. The proposed measures will allow reducing the share of state participation in the economy to 14 percent by 2025," the Deputy PM said.

Earlier, Smailov spoke about measures to combat illegal trade across the borders of Kazakhstan.
