Kazakhstan eyes expanding share of exports of Russian trading house

Kazakhstan’s QazTrade JSC and Russian Trade House Evrazkabel LLP discussed ways to increase productivity and expand the share of exports of the trade house, Trend reports referring to the Ministry of Trade and Integration of Kazakhstan.

The issue was discussed by General Director of QazTrade JSC Azamat Asgaruly and General Director of Trade House Evrazkabel LLP Andrey Prikhodko.

During the meeting, the participants discussed further joint activities to increase the share of exports, including assistance to QazTrade JSC in finding new partners and markets for cable and wire products, participation of Evrazkabel Trading House in major international exhibitions, as well as measures presented by the state in terms of supporting existing exporters.

The Evrazkabel plant, a subsidiary of the KMK INVESTMENT group of companies, is a participant in the Export Acceleration Program-2021. The company has been present on the Kazakhstan market since 2018. The project is being implemented as part of a public-private partnership on the territory of the Industrial Zone in the city of Almaty.

Today the plant is one of the largest manufacturers of cable and wire products, producing about 7,000 products annually and meeting the needs of the country's construction industry. The company's turnover amounts to over $1 million. In general, the newest equipment and technological lines of the plant make it possible to produce the entire line of cable products with a cross-section of up to 1600 mm sq. and voltage from 0.66 kV to 330 kV.

The company with an export share of 15 percent has experience in supplying its products to the EAEU markets. Evrazkabel plans to expand the share of its presence and enter the markets of foreign countries Russia, Belarus, Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan, the United Arab Emirates, the countries of the Balkan Peninsula.
