BAKU, Azerbaijan, Oct.22
Electronic customs escort will be provided to track the transport of goods transported through the territory of Kazakhstan via use of navigation seals in accordance with the customs procedure of customs transit, Trend reports citing the State Revenue Committee of the Ministry of Finance of Kazakhstan.
According to the committee, this measure will be applied based on the recommendations of the risk management system and imported to Kazakhstani importers located in the ‘green’ zone.
It is noted that these importers include taxpayers included in the order of the Minister of Finance of Kazakhstan dated December 28, 2020 No. 1241 "on approval of the List of taxpayers subject to monitoring of large taxpayers".
The committee notes that electronic customs support maximally simplifies customs operations during transit, reduces the time it takes to cross the border and significantly reduces financial costs for participants in foreign economic activity who build their business on the principles of transparency and compliance with legal requirements.
The implementation of this measure became possible on the basis of the order of the Minister of Finance of Kazakhstan dated April 28, 2021 No. 407 “on approval of the rules for the use of electronic customs escort of vehicles, as well as the interaction of state revenue bodies, the declarant, the national operator of the information system for tracking international road transport and the electronic customs escort of vehicles”.
Thus, participants in foreign economic activity, selected within the framework of the risk management system and have chosen the electronic customs escort system, have the right to apply to the appropriate customs authority and to the operator for tracking navigation seals, which defines Silk Way monitoring LLP (limited liability partnership) (www.swm.kz).
