Kazakhstan reports decrease in gold, silver manufacturing

Manufacturing of non-processed and semi-processed silver in Kazakhstan amounted to 923,694 kg over the period from January through November 2021, which is 0.4 percent less than during the same period of 2020, Trend reports with reference to Kazakhstan’s Statistics Committee.

According to the data, non-processed and semi-processed silver production amounted to 79,422 kg in November 2021, which is 5.5 percent less than in November 2020.

Manufacturing of non-processed and semi-processed gold increased by 1.9 percent during the reporting period, having amounted to 104,419 kg (9,677 kg in November 2021, a decrease of 10.3 percent compared to November 2020).

Production of non-processed aluminum and aluminum oxide amounted to 1.4 million tons during the reporting period, which indicates a decrease of 5 percent compared to the same period of last year.

The production volume of non-processed aluminum and aluminum oxide was 149,215 tons in November 2021, which is 13.6 percent more than in November 2020.

Manufacturing of non-processed refined lead amounted to 106,250 tons over the reporting period, which is 7.1 percent less than during the same period of 2020. The volume of non-processed refined lead produced in November 2021 was 12,493 tons, which is 1 percent less than in November 2020.

Production of non-processed zinc amounted to 299,170 tons, which is 4.5 percent more than during the same period of 2020 (28,836 tons in November 2021, up by 0.1 percent compared to November 2020).

As reported, the manufacturing of non-processed non-alloyed refined copper amounted to 394,944 tons, which is 10.1 percent less than during the same period of 2020 (37,103 tons in November 2021, which is 7.8 percent more than in November 2020).

Manufacturing of other non-ferrous metals and products from them amounted to 38,269 tons, which is 8.2 percent more than during the same period of 2020 (3,977 tons in November 2021, up by 2.2 times compared to November 2020).
