BAKU, Azerbaijan, April 13. Kazakh Energy Minister Bulat Aqchulaqov told about the volume of oil export in alternative ways besides the Caspian Pipeline Consortium (CPC), Trend reports citing Kazakh media.
"We already have alternative ways to export 16.5 million tons of oil," Aqchulaqov said answering questions from reporters in the margins of the Kazakh Parliament (Majilis).
The Minister explained that this amount of oil could be exported by rail through the port of Aktau, through the "Atyrau-Samara" oil pipeline, also in the direction of China.
"But this is not enough, full 54 million tons is difficult to distribute," Aqchulaqov added.
Repair work on the CTC oil pipeline had not yet started and Russian specialists assured that they will make every effort to complete the repair work during April, the minister said earlier.
