BAKU, Azerbaijan, May 7. The growth in production in the non-ferrous metallurgy sector of Kazakhstan amounted to 6.1 percent in the first quarter of 2022, Trend reports via Kazakh media outlets.

An increase in volumes of production is observed in several Kazakh enterprises.

Kazakhmys Corporation LLP continues to implement a strategy to increase the extraction and processing of ore at production sites. According to the results of the first quarter, the output of refined copper increased by 10 percent, gold bullion - by 7 percent, and silver granules - by 1 percent.

Kazzinc LLP metallurgical company, a major producer of zinc, lead, copper and precious metals, also achieved positive results in the first quarter of 2022.

The enterprise increased the output of cathode copper and refined silver. Industrial sites of Kazzinc with auxiliary subdivisions are included in a single integrated production chain. Raw materials extracted from quarries and mines are processed at modernized processing plants and then sent to metallurgical complexes, where finished products of the highest quality are produced.

The refinery of Tau-Ken Altyn LLP increased the production of refined gold by 33 percent.

In addition, the Kounrad Copper Company LLP increased the production of cathode copper by 4 percent.
