BAKU, Azerbaijan, May 12. Inflation in Kazakhstan accelerated from 12 percent in March 2022 to 13.2 percent in April 2022, Chairman of Kazakh National Bank (NBK) Galymzhan Pirmatov said, Trend reports with reference to NBK.
Annual growth in food prices increased from 15.4 percent to 17.9 percent.
The external inflationary background continues to exert upward pressure on prices of non-food products, growth of which accelerated from 10.9 percent to 11.1 percent.
Prices for paid services increased from 8.3 percent to 8.9 percent, which is associated with an increase in prices for a number of market services.
