BAKU, Azerbaijan, October 11. The growth rate of the economy of Kazakhstan amounted to 2.8 percent in the first nine months of 2022, Minister of National Economy of Kazakhstan Alibek Kuantyrov said during the government meeting, Trend reports citing the government.

According to him, growth in the real sector amounted to 3.1 percent, and in the service sector - 1.9 percent. Among industries, positive growth is shown by agriculture, information and communication, construction, transport and warehousing, manufacturing, trade and mining.

"There is an acceleration in the growth rate of investments in fixed assets up to 7 percent. The inflow of investments in education increased by 45.7 percent, in trade - by 23.3 percent, in construction - by 23 percent, in real estate transactions - by 17.5 percent, in mining industry - by 10.7 percent, in transport and warehousing - by 9.2 percent, in agriculture - by 7.5 percent. The best indicators are noted in the Kyzylorda, Almaty and Akmola regions, as well as Almaty and Shymkent cities," Kuantyrov said.

Kazakhstan's foreign trade turnover increased by 36.6 percent and amounted to $86.3 billion from January through August,2022. The export increased by 50.6 percent and amounted to $56 billion, while the export of processed goods increased by 36.5 percent to $16, 6 billion. The country's imports of goods amounted to $30 billion. In general, the trade surplus amounted to $26.4 billion.
