BAKU, Azerbaijan, January 2. Demand for new employees in Kazakhstan from 2023 through 2030 will amount to 1.9 million people, Trend reports, citing Kazakh media.

According to the provided information, economic expansion will be the driving force behind the increased demand.

Initial projections suggest that due to the increased urbanization, demand will increase in the largest cities. The demand for new workforce in Astana, Almaty, and Shymkent is forecasted to be around 420,000-536,000 people, depending on the economic growth scenario. This accounts for 24-26 percent of the total demand.

Kazakhstan expects the demand to decrease around 2028 when 261,000 new employees will be needed.

The largest demand is expected to be recorded in the fields of education (395,600 people), agriculture (196,200 people), and trade (193,200).
