BAKU, Azerbaijan, January 9. Kazakhstan expects to launch new flights to several new directions in 2023, which will include additional flights to Baku, Trend reports with reference to the Ministry of Industry and Infrastructural Development of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
According to the statement, additional flights from Astana to Baku will be launched in the spring or summer of 2023.
Additional flight routes are expected to be launched from Astana to Doha, from Aktau to Medina, and from Shymkent to Dushanbe.
Finally, Malaysian “Air Asia X” airlines will operate a flight route between Kuala Lumpur and Astana.
The ministry also revealed that the frequency of flights from various cities in Kazakhstan to Pakistan, Türkiye, the United Kingdom, Georgia, and China will be increased.
The expansion is being undertaken as a part of the transportation strategy of the government of Kazakhstan, which aims to establish new routes to foster business, cargo transportation, and tourism.
