BAKU, Azerbaijan, January 10. China has abolished some of the restrictions for travel on the Sino-Kazakh border, Trend reports, citing the press service of the Ministry of Finance of Kazakhstan.
According to the statement, China will return to the pre-COVID transportation format, which will enable transport from Kazakhstan to enter China.
Drivers, however, will have to present a valid PCR test result, visa and their vehicles have to abide by international standards.
Some cargo truck drivers, however, were unhappy with the removal of restrictions introduced previously by China as a measure to tackle COVID. Their vehicles were adjusted to the standard demanded by Beijing, which resulted in significant economic investments for drivers.
