BAKU, Azerbaijan, January 11. Kazakhstan is ready to supply up to 6 million tons of oil to Germany, Bulat Aqchulaqov, Minister of Energy of Kazakhstan, said, Trend reports, citing Kazakh media.
According to the minister, the start of the operation is subject to the availability of written consent from Russia for the use of the “Druzhba” pipeline for transit.
“We were waiting for the official confirmation from our Russian colleagues because the transit is carried out through their territory. We received verbal confirmation, so I think there will be no problems, however, there is no written confirmation yet”, Aqchulaqov added.
The energy minister concluded by saying that Kazakhstan has no issues with supplying oil to Germany as it possesses enough production capacity to carry out the hydrocarbon export.
