BAKU, Azerbaijan, January 31. Kazakhstan’s Kostanay region aims to attract investments worth around 600 billion Kazakh tenge ($1.3 billion) in 2023, Kumar Aksakalov, Head of Kostanay region municipality, said, Trend reports, citing the press service of the municipality.

The investments are required to implement the most significant projects to diversify the economy.
They include projects in the field of agriculture, construction of commercial dairy farms, diversification of crop areas, livestock development, as well as to constructing of additional roads and modernizing the existing network.

“It is necessary to identify the most vulnerable sections of networks and plan their repair. In areas where the reconstruction of networks is required, it is necessary to develop a design and estimate documentation”, the municipality head noted.

Aksakalov concluded by saying that it is necessary to ensure an increase in automobile production by 30 percent.

The Kostanay region received 115.9 billion Kazakh tenge ($251.1 million) from the budget. Kazakhstan’s Prime Minister Alikhan Smailov said that the municipality needs to address and focus on the issue of the economic growth of the region when addressing the matter on September 2022.
