BAKU, Azerbaijan, January 31. The International Monetary Fund (IMF) projects Kazakh gross domestic product (GDP) to increase by 4.3 percent in 2023, according to the latest edition of the IMF’s World Economic Outlook Report, Trend reports, citing the IMF.

Earlier projections forecasted economic growth in Kazakhstan to reach 4.4 percent in 2023.

The report also expects the Kazakh economy to continue expanding in 2024. The IMF expects the key Central Asian economy to grow by 4.4 percent in 2024. However, the projection was once again amended from the previous estimate of 4.5 percent.

The US-based global institution also estimated the economy of Kazakhstan to improve by 2.5 percent in 2022.
