BAKU, Azerbaijan, February 2. Entrepreneurs from Türkiye purchased cotton yarn from Turkmen production during trading on February 1 at the State Commodity and Raw Material Exchange of Turkmenistan, Trend reports with reference to the Turkmen media.
Businessmen from Türkiye purchased 1,000 tons of various types of cotton yarn on the exchange. The total amount of the transaction was $2.7 million.
At the same time, according to the exchange, on January 31, representatives of Kyrgyzstan's business circles purchased 44.2 tons of dyed terry products worth $243,100.
Turkmenistan plans to allocate more than $300 million for the implementation of over 30 projects in the textile industry by 2025.
In general, over the years of independence, about $2 billion were invested in the construction of new and reconstruction of existing textile enterprises.
The State Commodity and Raw Materials Exchange of Turkmenistan was established on July 29, 1994. It is the most important body of state regulation of export-import operations.
