BAKU, Azerbaijan, February 14. Kazakhstan and France are working on the implementation of several joint projects, including the production of roofing materials based on bitumen between Kazakhstan’s KazBitumServis LLP and the French "Soprema Group", Trend reports, citing the press service of the Ministry of Industry and Infrastructural Development.
The statement was made during the meeting of Marat Karabaiev, Minister of Industry and Infrastructural Development, and the Ambassador of France to Kazakhstan Didier Canesse.
Another project being discussed during the meeting - business venture between Agromash Holding KZ and the Kuhn Group representing France, which aim to establish a joint manufacturing of trailed agricultural equipment.
Kazakh minister and the French ambassador also discussed the preparation for the visit of the French Minister for Foreign Trade, Attractiveness and French Nationals Abroad, Olivier Becht.
France is one of the key partners of Kazakhstan. Earlier, it was revealed that the trade turnover between the two nations increased by 30 percent and reached $4 billion in 2022. Some 170 French businesses are currently operating in Kazakhstan, including the major multinational enterprises such as Danone and Total.
