BAKU, Azerbaijan, February 17. Kazakhstan and Russia are currently working out 23 major joint projects, which will create around 7,000 workplaces, Marat Karabayev, Minister of Industry and Infrastructure Development of Kazakhstan, said, Trend reports, citing the press service of the Ministry.

The statement was made during the meeting of the Kazakh minister with the Russian Minister of Industry and Trade Denis Manturov, which was also attended by representatives of 25 major manufacturing enterprises.

The sides agreed to continue industrial cooperation and stressed the importance of this vector of partnership in the context of Russo-Kazakh relations.

Karabayev added that earlier, Kazakhstan and Russia have already implemented 26 joint projects. He also said that Kazakhstan will participate in the “INNOPROM” industrial exhibition, which will be held in Yekaterinburg, Russia. Additionally, The Kazakh minister noted that holding an “INNOPROM” exhibition in Kazakhstan’s Astana in September is being planned. Delegations from Azerbaijan, Türkiye, Pakistan, India, and Iran will also participate in the event.

Kazakhstan already participated in an “INNOPROM” exhibition in 2022. Kazakhstan’s participation led to a significant increase in industrial cooperation between Astana and Moscow, which was made possible due to 27 bilateral treaties and Programs on cooperation signed during the event.
