BAKU, Azerbaijan, February 20. Production of 60 companies from Russian Tyumen region is currently being reviewed by the relevant authorities of Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, and Uzbekistan for possible import, Alexey Yergaliyev, the Director of the Export Support Center of Tyumen Region, said, Trend reports, citing Russian media.
Yergaliyev also noted that Kazakh businesses demonstrate a particular interest in fostering cooperation with IT companies from Tyumen. Formal negotiations are expected to commence shortly.
In terms of the total volume of exports, key export goods supplied from the Tyumen region are oil industry-related services, lumber, building materials, metal processing, and food products.
Companies operating in the region supplied goods and services to 91 countries in 2022. Some 23 contracts were concluded with the assistance of the Support Center. The overall value of export operations carried out with support from the center amounted to $8.3 million during the prior year.
Russia’s remains an important trade partner for Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan. Exports from Russia to Azerbaijan in 2022 reached $2.74 billion, to Kazakhstan - $17.34 billion, and to Uzbekistan - goods and service worth $6.21 billion.
