BAKU, Azerbaijan, May 18. As environmental, social, and corporate governance (ESG) is gaining momentum, the Swiss SGS company strives to conduct more projects in order to help Kazakhstan reach its sustainability goals in the future, Yerzhan Bolat, Marketing Specialist at SGS for Caspian Sub-region told Trend.
"This year marks the 30th anniversary of the SGS operations in Kazakhstan. We started our activity back in 1993 with a small branch of a few dozen people. Now our company employs more than 1,000 people in Kazakhstan, has three large offices in Astana, Almaty, and Karaganda, and several dozen laboratories throughout the country," he said.
Touching on the SGS's role in the future relationship between Switzerland and Kazakhstan, Yerzhan Bolat said that along with investments, SGS also brings integrity, cutting-edge technologies, and international expertise to the country.
"Every year the number of joint projects with local businesses is growing. We open new laboratories, provide new services, and contribute to the economy of Kazakhstan," he added in this regard.
Furthermore talking about the future cooperation with Kazakhstan, he added that the company plans to have more projects to help the country reach its sustainability goals as well as help businesses in various industries to work efficiently, deliver quality, and trade with integrity and trust.
