BAKU, Azerbaijan, June 23. The number of flights between Kazakhstan and Azerbaijan has increased from 32 to 42 per week, Trend reports.
According to Kazakhstan's Civil Aviation Committee, during the official visit of Prime Minister of Kazakhstan, Alikhan Smailov, to Azerbaijan, a Protocol on air communication was signed between Kazakhstan's Ministry of Industry and Infrastructure Development and Azerbaijan's Ministry of Digital Development and Transport of the Republic of Azerbaijan.
The Protocol was signed by Marat Karabayev, Minister of Industry and Infrastructure Development of Kazakhstan, and Rashad Nabiyev, Minister of Digital Development and Transport of Azerbaijan.
According to the signed Protocol, the legal framework for regular flights between the two countries has been expanded from 32 to 42 flights per week for designated carriers from both sides.
This expansion of the legal framework will increase the number of flights between the two countries, fostering competition in the aviation market between Kazakhstan and Azerbaijan. It will also contribute to further strengthening the trade, economic, business, tourism, and cultural cooperation between the two nations.
