ASTANA, Kazakhstan, July 5. Caspian Pipeline Consortium (CPC) has resumed the oil intake from shippers at oil pumping stations (OPS) in Kazakhstan after the stabilization of the energy supply, Trend reports.

According to the company, following the stabilization of voltage in the external power supply system, the Atyrau and Tengiz oil pumping stations have been restarted, allowing the resumption of oil receipts from shippers.

Earlier, it was noted that CPC continues to face energy supply issues in Kazakhstan due to power outages, resulting in the suspension of oil intake at the Atyrau oil pumping station. Due to the lack of power supply, the Tengiz OPS was stopped while maintaining oil intake from Tengizchevroil. In addition, Atyrau OPS was also shut down, ceasing the intake from all oil suppliers

On July 3, 2023, a disruption in the power supply occurred at the thermal power plant of MAEK LLP, which led to instability and disturbances in the power system of western Kazakhstan with massive power outages in the region.
