ASTANA, Kazakhstan, October 2. Kazpost's (the national postal operator of the Republic of Kazakhstan) plans to build logistics hubs in Aktobe, Turkestan, and Almaty regions, said the Chairman of the Board of Kazpost Asel Zhanasova during a meeting with the President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, Trend reports.
As she noted, a logistics hub will also open in Astana this week.
Speaking about the company's income, Zhasanova noted that for the first time in five years, the company ceased to be unprofitable and received a net profit.
"Kazpost's revenues increased by 44 percent, or 16.7 billion tenge (about $35 million), from January through August 2023, compared to the same period last year," she said.
According to her, this happened due to cost optimization, the development of e-commerce, and other financial services.
Zhanasova noted that Kazpost plans to expand its branch network, providing access to postal, financial, agency, social, and government services in the most remote corners of Kazakhstan.
Tokayev was also informed that the company is creating a unified ecosystem for e-commerce market entities.
Kazpost is a Kazakhstan postal operator, being one of the basic elements of the national infrastructure. Kazpost provides a wide range of postal, financial, brokerage, agency, and electronic services.
The company's mission is to encourage the development of a modern digital society on the basis of an effective ecosystem that gives customers the opportunity to receive postal, logistics, financial, and agent services in a quick and reliable manner.
