ASTANA, Kazakhstan, March 4. Currently, business entities of Kazakhstan and Russia are implementing 135 joint projects, said Prime Minister of Kazakhstan Oljas Bektenov, Trend reports.
He made the remark during a meeting with Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin in Moscow.
"Kazakhstani and Russian corporate companies are now implementing 135 projects worth $26.5 billion. In addition, 67 collaborative projects totaling $14 billion are being created in vital economic areas such as mechanical engineering, metallurgy, and the chemical industry. Together, more than 11,000 jobs will be generated," he said.
According to Bektenov, relations between the countries are developing fruitfully across the entire spectrum of trade, economic and cultural cooperation.
"An important area is industrial cooperation. It has already become the hallmark of successful bilateral cooperation. The governments of our countries will make every effort to implement all agreements reached by the leaders of our countries," the PM noted.
Meanwhile, Kazakhstan’s trade turnover with Russia in 2023 amounted to $25.9 billion.
Exports to Russia - $9.7 billion, and imports from Russia - $16.2 billion.
