Kazakhstan's business activity index sees tiny growth

ASTANA, Kazakhstan, March 6. The business activity index in Kazakhstan slightly increased to 50 from 49.7 in February 2024, Trend reports, citing the National Bank of Kazakhstan.

Despite a modest decline, the services and manufacturing sectors' indicators maintained in the growth zone, at 50.3 and 50.1, respectively (in January, they were 50.7 and 50.4, respectively). All components improved, with the exception of delivery delays.

The indicator in the mining industry and construction remained in the negative zone, despite an increase to 48.4 and 49.2, respectively (in January–45.9 and 47.2, respectively). There is a reduction in delivery times in the mining industry.

In addition, estimates of current and future business conditions have improved.

The business climate index, which is an average assessment of current and future business conditions, amounted to 10.5 (9.1 in January).
