ASTANA, Kazakhstan, April 4. The World Bank's (WB) total loan amount for Kazakhstan exceeds $9.17 billion, Trend reports.
Thus, Kazakhstan took 23rd place among the countries with the largest volume of the loan portfolio from the WB.
At the same time, the volume of the total loan portfolio approved by the WB is $875 billion.
The data indicates that, the largest recipients of World Bank loans are India ($79 billion), Indonesia ($67 billion), and Brazil ($65 billion).
On March 19, the World Bank's Board of Executive Directors granted a Development Policy Operation (DPO) loan of $600 million to Kazakhstan, marking the first step in a series of measures aimed at promoting sustainable and equitable economic growth in the country.
