Azerbaijan discloses volume of trade turnover with Kazakhstan in 1Q2024

ASTANA, Kazakhstan, April 18. The volume of trade turnover between Azerbaijan and Kazakhstan amounted to $70.8 million from January through March 2024, Trend reports.

The Azerbaijani State Customs Committee's data indicates that the bulk of trade turnover is made up of $58.8 million in goods imports from Kazakhstan and $11.9 million in exports from Azerbaijan to Kazakhstan.

In addition, Kazakhstan moved up to the 13th spot among the top 15 exporters to Azerbaijan based on the results of the first three months of 2024. Among the exporters of goods to Azerbaijan, the leaders are China ($743.7 million), Russia ($661.7 million), and Türkiye ($538.7 million).

At the same time, Kazakhstan ranked tenth among nations purchasing non-oil goods from Azerbaijan.

Meanwhile, the volume of trade turnover between Kazakhstan and Azerbaijan amounted to $529.4 million in 2023. The volume of trade turnover increased by 14.2 percent compared to the same period in 2022 ($463.3 million).

At the same time, in the structure of trade turnover, exports to Azerbaijan for the above period amounted to $456.3 million, which is 21.6 percent more than from January through December 2022.

In addition, imports from Azerbaijan from January through December 2023 decreased by 17.3 percent and amounted to $73 million. In 2022, imports amounted to $88.3 million.
