ASTANA, Kazakhstan, April 24. The Italian Eni's production of natural gas in Kazakhstan amounted to 265 mmcf/d (million standard cubic feet per day) from January through March 2024, Trend reports.
According to Eni production results, in the same period in 2023, this figure was 252 mmcf/d.
In addition, natural gas production in Kazakhstan in the fourth quarter of 2023 amounted to 292 mmcf/d, which is 43 percent more than the same period in 2022 (204 mmcf/d).
Meanwhile, Eni's hydrocarbon production in 1Q2024 maintained an average of 1.741 million barrels of oil equivalent per day (boe/d), marking a notable 5-percent increase year-on-year (1.661 boe/d in 1Q2023).
Furthermore, gas production volume in Kazakhstan amounted to 59.1 billion cubic meters in 2023.
The volume of liquefied petroleum gas production at the end of 2023 amounted to 2.95 million tons, and consumption was 1.8 million tons.
In addition, in 2024, 60.5 billion cubic meters of gas are expected to be produced in the country. The forecast for 2024 for liquefied petroleum gas production is 2.95 million tons, and consumption is 2.1 million tons.
