ASTANA, Kazakhstan, July 13. The European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) has updated Kazakhstan on the implementation of projects in the first half of the year, Trend reports.
Information about the projects was presented to the Minister of Finance, Madi Takiyev, by Managing Director for Central Asia at the EBRD Hüseyin Özhan.
During the meeting, the parties also discussed the implementation of promising projects and addressed issues related to providing technical assistance for these projects.
Following the meeting, Takiyev thanked the entire EBRD team for their willingness to support the sustainable development of Kazakhstan's economy.
As of February 29, 2024, the EBRD's current project portfolio in Kazakhstan amounts to 2.8 billion euros, encompassing 119 active projects.
Overall, the bank has invested approximately 10 billion euros across 317 projects in Kazakhstan, making it the EBRD's largest and longest-standing banking engagement in Central Asia.
