(KAZINFORM) - An international conference Investments into Kazakhstans future has begun today in Almaty.
Kazakhstan is the strategic partner of Great Britain. We are interested in all-round deepening of cooperation, special representative for foreign trade and investment, the Duke of York, Prince Andrew said delivering an address. Great Britain is the second investor into Kazakhstans oil and gas industry sector in order of importance and is interested in collaboration not only in hydrocarbon development but also in education, and information technologies, reports Trend.
Kazakhstan, an independent state which plans to enter into the 50 most competitive states of the world has all the possibilities. Thereat the country pays great attention to the widening of small and medium business, an innovation driving force of the state.
In 2005 the commodity turnover between Kazakhstan and Great Britain grew by 40% reaching USD 700 mln, Kazakhstan Industry and Trade Minister Vladimir Shkolnik said. Kazakhstan is forging in terms of uranium production and this fact arouses great interest of foreign investors, the Minister added.
