(Kazinform) - Kazakhstan Foreign Minister Kassymzhomart Tokayev has received the US Ambassador John Ordway and Ambassador of the Slovak Republic Dushan Podgorski.
During the talks with the US Ambassador debated were issues on preparations of an official visit of Kazakh President Nursultan Nazarbayev to the US this September and some aspects of bilateral cooperation, reports Trend.
Slovak diplomat has voiced an official position of his country on supporting Kazakhstans candidature for OSCE presidency in 2009 and informed of implementation of joint projects in Kazakhstan.
The very day Tokayev has met Canadian Ambassador Anna Biolik who completes her diplomatic mission in Kazakhstan. Kazakh FM thanked for the work done and wished success in further diplomatic career. Besides, the parties touched upon bilateral cooperation issues and prospects for further interaction between Astana and Ottawa.
On August 16 Kazakhstan Foreign Affairs Minister held the meeting with newly appointed Ambassador of Ukraine Nikolai Selivon to deliberate upon state and prospects for political and economic collaboration and preparations for the Year of Kazakhstan in Ukraine next year, Kazakhstan MFAs press service reports.
