(gazeta.kz) - Switzerland considers opening its embassy in Kazakhstan in perspective, Anton Tahlmann, Vice Foreign Minister of Switzerland, stated Monday in Berna at a meeting with Rakhat Aliyev, First Vice Foreign Minister of Kazakhstan, reports Trend.
"Switzerland is interested in comprehensive development of relations with your country because of its dynamic development and the growing role in the region. In relation with this Bern regards an increase of its diplomatic presence in this country, an opening of the Swiss embassy in perspective," - a release by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Kazakhstan says quoting Mr. Tahlmann.
During the consultations between the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Switzerland and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Kazakhstan Tuesday in Bern the sides highly assessed the level of the political and economic co-operation between Kazakhstan and Switzerland, stating that approaches of Kazakhstan and Switzerland to a wide range of current international problems coincided.
Priorities of the bilateral co-operation were addressed as well, in particular, in trade, economy, migration, environment protection, joint activities in multilateral institutions.
