Kyrgyz Prime Minister Igor Chudinov said on Thursday his country's trade and economic ties with China are growing rapidly despite the impact of the global financial crisis, Xinhua reported.
During a meeting with China's new ambassador, Wang Kaiwen, Chudinov said Chinese direct investment in Kyrgyzstan is increasing and some large projects are already underway, said news reaching here from Bishkek.
Positive progress has been made in the work with regard to construction of the China-Kyrgyzstan-Uzbekistan railway, Chudinov said.
He also expressed gratitude for the aid provided by the Chinese government.
During the meeting, Wang said the bilateral relations developed healthily and steadily since the two countries set up ties 17 years ago. It is China's long-term policy to deepen the political mutual trust and economic mutual beneficial cooperation between China and Kyrgyzstan.
