Leaders of the drug control agencies of the Collective Security Treaty Organization will meet on Issyk-Kul lake later Thursday to discuss a number of issues on coordination of joint drugs control actions, 24.kg reported.
Meeting of CIS Coordinating Council of Competent Authorities for Illegal Drug Trafficking will run in the republic for the first time, Kyrgyz Drug Enforcement Agency says.
Participants will discuss introduction of the united data base of the council. Heads of the agencies will also consider joint actions against transnational criminal drug gangs and their leaders as a part of the Canal operation. Besides, the members will exchange views about joint personnel training.
The main issue of the agenda is coordination of the Eurasian financial intelligence structures' participation in counteraction to legalization of criminal incomes and terrorism financing. Members of all financial intelligence structures and services of the states' financial monitoring will take part in the meeting for the first time.
