"Four maternal deaths for the last six weeks of 2009 is a serious emergency for Kyrgyzstan," Dinara Moldosheva, parliament deputy said at the parliament session Thursday, 24.kg reported.
As to the deputy, it is generally spoken about maternal mortality decrease in recent years. "However, the situation is different in fact. That is why it is necessary to carry out official investigations and establish republican headquarters for finding out facts of women's deaths. If it is doctors' fault, they should be dismissed," Moldosheva said.
As to the official, medics of the maternity hospital avoid meetings with families of the dead. "We need to check all the facts and punish the guilty ones within a month," she added.
