There is no procedure of Constitutional Chamber formation in Constitution of Kyrgyzstan, Ata Meken faction leader Omurbek Tekebayev said at session of Committee on Judicial and Legal Issues, 24.kg reported.

According to him, activity of Constitutional Chamber will be regulated by special law. "The Chamber can consist of members of Supreme Court, which will be presented by the Parliament," Tekebayev added.

Leader of Ar-Namys faction Felix Kulov opposed him. He said that when the idea of Constitutional Chamber formation appeared, initiators asserted that the chamber would be independent from Supreme Court. "Now, it turns out that Supreme Court judges will be members of the chamber. It is wrong and contradicts the wording and functions of the Constitutional Chamber," underlined Kulov.
