IFC Advisory Services Vice President Rachel Kyte has stated today that "Kyrgyzstan has a high priority for the International Financial Corporation (IFC)", while speaking to the press, 24.kg reported.

IFC's vice president for advisory services said "the corporation had invested in 7 different projects in Kyrgyzstan totaling to $27.5 million despite political and economic instability during last three years". "We stand ready to invest another $15 million in 2011," she has noted.

Investments will be directed to support financial and real sectors of the economy, according to the IFC report. "We are a long-term partner of the country, Rachel Kyte continues. We have already achieved certain progress, but have much to be done in future."
