The Kyrgyz Foreign Ministry has withdrawn Ambassador to Belarus Eric Asanaliev on August 24 for talks, the Kyrgyz Foreign Ministry said on Friday, KyrTAG reported.

"This measure was taken due to the lack of response of the competent authorities of the Belarusian side to the verbale note dated August 21 this year, and a statement from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic on August 22 of this year regarding stay of the Kyrgyz Republic citizen Zhanybek Bakiyev, who is wanted by law enforcement agencies of Kyrgyzstan and Interpol for previously committed particularly serious crimes, in Belarus" the Foreign Ministry said.

As previously reported, the ministry sent a note to Minsk to detain Janysh Bakiyev and extradite him. This note was handed to Ambassador of the Republic of Belarus to the Kyrgyz Republic V.Denisenko by Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Kyrgyzstan A.Beshimov on August 21.

The note was a response of the Foreign Ministry to the reports that have appeared in the media with reference to the publication of Kommersant about staying of former head of the State Security Service of the Kyrgyz Republic Janysh Bakiyev, who is included into the international wanted list.
