Kyrgyzstan's Minister of Defense, Abibilla Kudaiberdiev met with the Turkish minister of National Defense Ismet Yilmaz on September 24 in Dushanbe, Kabar news agency reported citing the general staff of the Kyrgyz armed forces.
Minister of National Defense of Turkey is on his visit to Kyrgyzstan. During the meeting Kudaiberdiev expressed the hope that this visit will be fruitful for addressing important issues of bilateral military cooperation. He also stressed that there are good preconditions for cooperation between the countries.
Kudaiberdiev thanked Turkey for the country's assistance in improving the material and technical equipping parts and units of Kyrgyz armed forces.
Following the meeting a number of documents were signed, including an agreement between the governments of Kyrgyzstan and Turkey on the training and cooperation in military medicine; an agreement between the two countries' government on military financial cooperation; a protocol between the governments of two countries on financial assistance.
