Trend:

Kyrgyz MPs voted for the appointment of Temir Sariev as the new Prime Minister, Interfax reported.

Sariev headed the government until the parliamentary election held on October 4.

For the first time, Sariev headed the Kyrgyz government in spring 2015 after former Prime Minister Djoomart Otorbaev resigned.

The leader of the parliamentary majority coalition Chynybay Tursunbekov said earlier that Sariev has a high credibility among parliamentarians and will continue a steady course of the country's development.

"President Atambayev trusts Sariev," he said. "He was able to act as a successful head without interfering in the politics," a source in the ruling coalition told Interfax.

Sariev held senior positions in the government.

He was an active participant in the events of April 2010, which resulted in a change of power in Kyrgyzstan.
