The Embassy of Kyrgyzstan in Japan organized workshops for musicians and dancers of TURKSOY, kabar.kg reports.
The press service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic reported that the master class of musicians from TURKSOY was held at Tokyo University of Arts. University students were able to familiarize themselves with the history and play of folk instruments of Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Turkey and Bashkortostan.
The musicians demonstrated new instrumental possibilities and shared with students ideas for composition and improvisation. The knowledge and experience gained by students during the master class will contribute to their further improvement and professional growth.
The dance workshop was held at the National Theater of Japan. TURKSOY dancers and Japanese choreographers showed each other elements of traditional dance movements and told about their origins.
The Secretary General of TURKSOY Kaseinov, Honorary Consul of the Kyrgyz Republic in Kochi Prefecture Nakajima, leading choreographers of Japan in national dances Satogiro, Shuei and Yetsuko, as well as The Japan Times correspondent Miura also took part in the event.
The master classes were organized as part of a series of events in Japan dedicated to the 25th anniversary of the establishment of TURKSOY.
