BAKU, Azerbaijan, March 23. The amount of funds for the repair of strategic roads in Kyrgyzstan’s Batken region in 2022 will be increased, Trend reports via 24.kg.

The current budget is expected to make up nearly three billion soums ($29.1 million). Besides, it’s envisioned to allocate 4.6 billion soums ($44.6 million) under the state capital investment program. Of these, 600 million soums ($5.8 million) will be allocated to complete work on facilities at which the work remained unfinished since last year.

Another 615 million soums ($5.9 million) are envisioned for the repair of strategic roads in the Batken region. Earlier, 2.63 billion soums ($20 million) were allocated from the budget for road repairs.

Totally, 13 investment projects in the road sector are being implemented in Kyrgyzstan. Contractors have already been selected for 11 of them.
