BAKU, Azerbaijan, May 10. Commercial banks profits of Kyrgyzstan significantly increased in 2021, Trend reports with reference to the National Statistical Committee of Kyrgyzstan.
According to the report, Kyrgyz commercial banks profits in 2021 amounted to 36 billion soms ($439 million), which is an increase of 10.5 percent compared to the volume of the previous year.
The total assets of Kyrgyzstan’s commercial banks in 2021 amounted to 358 billion soms ($4.3 billion), which is an increase of 24 percent over the year.
The open loan portfolio of commercial banks at the end of 2021 totaled 180 billion soms ($2.1 billion) – an increase of 11 percent compared to 2020. The main areas of lending were trade, agriculture, consumer needs, and mortgages.
