BAKU, Azerbaijan, July 12. The number of officially unemployed citizens in Kyrgyzstan slightly decreased as of the end of May 2022, Trend reports with reference to the report of the Eurasian Economic Commission.

According to the statistics, the number of registered unemployed citizens in Kyrgyzstan amounted to 75,200 people, which is a decrease of 6.6 percent compared to May 2021 (80,600 people).

"In neighboring Kazakhstan, during the reporting period, the number of unemployed people amounted to 200,200 people, which is a decrease of 10.1 percent compared to the same month of last year (222,700 people)," the Eurasian Economic Commission reports.

Meanwhile, the number of unemployed registered with employment services in the EAEU countries at the end of May 2022 amounted to 1 million people, which is 41.1 percent less than in the corresponding period of 2021 (1.7 million unemployed).
