Kyrgyzstan's imports of textile products from Uzbekistan increases

BAKU, Azerbaijan, August 10. Kyrgyzstan significantly increased imports of textile products from Uzbekistan in the first half of 2022, Trend reports citing the State Committee of Uzbekistan on Statistics.

According to the committee, the value of Kyrgyzstan's textile products imports from Uzbekistan amounted to $251.8 million, which is an increase of 41.8 percent compared to the same period of 2021 ($177.5 million).

The largest share of Uzbek textile exports in the reporting period fell on Russia ($573.4 million), Türkiye ($340.8 million) and Kyrgyzstan ($251.8 million).

The total value of exports of goods and services from Uzbekistan to Kyrgyzstan in the first half of this year amounted to $483 million, which is an increase of 39.2 percent compared to the same period of last year ($346.8 million).

Meanwhile, trade turnover between Kyrgyzstan and Uzbekistan from January through June 2022 reached $589.2 million, which is an increase of 38.4 percent compared to the same period of 2021 ($425.5 million).
