BAKU, Azerbaijan, September 5. Kyrgyzstan significantly increased imports of passenger cars from Georgia in the first half of this year, Trend reports referring to the National Statistical Committee of Kyrgyzstan
According to statistics, Kyrgyzstan from January through June 2022 imported from Georgia 6,052 cars for $8.7 million, which is almost a threefold increase compared to the same period of 2021 ($3 million).
Thus, Georgia in the reporting period ranked first among the main car exporting countries to Kyrgyzstan. Followed by Russia - 3,072 units and South Korea - 2,813.
In general, from January through June of this year, Kyrgyzstan increased the import of cars by almost three times compared to the corresponding period of last year (5,529) - up to 16,245 units.
Meanwhile, the total value of Kyrgyz passenger cars import in the first half of 2022 amounted to $127.5 million, which is more than a twofold increase compared to the same period of last year ($61.9 million).
