BAKU, Azerbaijan, November 2. The largest gold mining company in Kyrgyzstan - Kumtor Gold Company has published a report on the company's financial results from January through September 2022, Trend reports with reference to the press service of the Kyrgyz company.
According to statistics, in the first 9 months of this year, the volume of gold production by Kumtor Gold Company amounted to 12,110 kg, which is an increase of 33 percent over the same period in 2021 (9,112 kg).
The company's total revenues from the sale of gold in the reporting period amounted to $679.8 million, which is 35 percent more compared to the corresponding period of last year ($504.3 million).
The Kumtor mine is the largest gold mine in Central Asia. In total, from the start of commercial production in May 1997 to September 30, 2022, over 14.1 million ounces of gold have been produced at the Kumtor deposit.
